I’m Mintu Kushwah, the founder of MBC (MY BUTTER CHICKEN), the journey started with the observation and inspiration of world over, kitchens and restaurants celebrate cuisine as per their own culture and traditions. For instance, Chicken as food is celebrated by renowned global eateries like KFC and Mc Donalds, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut among others but they are all broadly uniform in their approach, ecosystem, attitude, preparation, application, presentation, ingredients used and taste. We at “My Butter Chicken” seek to bring the best of the eastern and the western thought processes of bringing a unique chicken presentation to our esteemed guests. “My Butter Chicken” came to light when the brand thought to make the essentially eastern preparation of “Butter Chicken” and transform it into a most novel western idea by innovation and creativity, and garb it in a platter of global cuisine, combining the best of both worlds. Today the brand “My Butter Chicken is the most sought-after delicacy hotspot in Bangkok, Thailand. People do love varieties of chicken in forms of curries, fried and roasted ones, but here at My Butter Chicken, we have sought to bring you the specialised and most assorted range of butter chicken preparations which would give you a wide variety of options to choose from to savour the gourmet in you. Now for some plain facts and history.

It is a dish made by marinating a chicken overnight in a yoghurt and spice mixture. The chicken is then roasted or baked. A sauce is made from butter, tomatoes, cashew and various spices, usually including the famous our Hand grounded tandoori masala spice mix, and sometimes cream.

The dish, which is also called Murgh Makhani in the Hindi language, is without question the most popular dish to emerge from India; it may even be one of the most popular dishes in the world. If you are just going to an Indian restaurant for the first time, your friends will likely recommend it as a starting place. Its mildly spicy, creamy, savoury flavour makes it more than just delicious, but accessible to almost every palate.

There is an interesting story behind how butter chicken came out to be. The dish has its originations in India, sometime during the 1950s. During this time, a man named Kundan Lal Gujral operated a restaurant in Delhi, called Moti Mahal. Kundan had settled here and started his business after fleeing from political upheaval in another region of India. Moti Mahal was a success, serving many delightful tandoori dishes (a tandoor is a circular clay oven, and can be found in any Indian restaurant worth its salt).

So as the story goes, the cooks of Moti Mahal would mix leftover marinade juices with butter and tomato, and then stew the tandoor-cooked chicken in it. It’s unlikely that they had even the faintest idea of what they had stumbled upon – that is, an internationally-loved delicacy. But it is an irrefutable truth of the world that often the best things in life are discovered quite by accident.

Kundan’s restaurant quickly became a famous attraction of Delhi, and it wasn’t long before butter chicken spread throughout the world, to be enjoyed by people from every walk of life.

What gives the dish its distinctive flavour is its unique blend of spices, perfected over time. We at My Butter Chicken, marinate the chicken for hours in yogurt blended with spices like garlic, ginger, Indian spices, (made from pepper, cloves, cinnamon, mace, cardamom, bay leaf and cumin) ginger, cumin, and grill it at low temperatures so that the succulence of the meat is maintained. Then it’s cooked (typically tandoori-style) and simmered in a mild curry sauce rich with butter, and in some cases, almonds and raisins as well to lend it a varied and rich taste. We have more than ten varieties of butter chicken to give a wide array of choice to our customers who can belong to any part of the world. Like many curries, the secret to a good butter chicken is in the gravy or, as it's commonly known, sauce. When it comes to butter chicken, the varied use of spices delivers complexity and depth, onions and tomatoes add sweet notes and the finishing touch of butter and cream ensures the mixture is creamy and smooth.
